About Us
First Baptist Church of Manteca strives to serve the purpose of the Lord in several ministries. The bible proclaims that the
message of Christ carries with it an 'explosiveness' that enables any ministry to flourish and gain in momentum as long as
our goals and focus are single-minded and spear-headed by Christ and His teachings detailed in the bible.
This is why First Baptist leans fervently in the inerrancy of the bible and continues to proclaim its truth from Sunday to
Sunday. The truth in the bible and its undeniable message of compassion stirs a very powerful formula that only God can
claim as His own. Ephesians 3 offers a beautiful illustration by Paul that describes the essence of a functional church, the
extensive blessings that can be experienced by it's members, and the fruits that can be shared by so many who are reached
outside the walls of the church.
First Baptist Church of Manteca is a missionary-minded church supporting many obedient Christians who have followed
God's lead to bring the gospel message to various parts of the world.
Multiple Sunday morning classes exist for seniors and adults, high school age, junior high, and younger. We also provide
nursery care for infants. First Baptist also provides specialized classes like personal evangelism. Children are only young
for a short time. Sunday morning service is a way we can observe and teach the children while allowing them to participate
with the adults. “Kids Time” occurs in our sanctuary just prior to our main service. Children who wish to participate can form
a circle next to the podium where they are given a brief (and fun) study and prayer before they are excused to their late
morning classes. This is a great way to cultivate oneness in our church body.
Primera Iglasia Bautista De Manteca is yet another face of our church home. Our sanctuary and other grounds hold classes
and services for the Hispanic community. Primera Iglasia Bautista De Manteca has grown immensely since it has started.
This has been a marvelous way to stretch over cultural divides and bring people together in the name of Christ. Many
members of Primera Iglasia Bautista have taken advantage of the English classes that have started on Wednesday nights.
Wednesday nights offer L.I.F.T. A mid-week gathering of bible studies for our youth groups and all adults.
First Baptist Church of Manteca maintains a healthy schedule of men’s and women’s bible studies, prayer meetings, and
fellowships through the week. Wednesday night L.I.F.T. begins with a weekly pot-luck as just one example. Our male and
female members are encouraged to attend Christian seminars when possible. Last year, First Baptist was a participant in the
popular community Harvest event that is set up annually in downtown Manteca. Many members of the church volunteered
and were very successful in passing out flyers, tracts, and holding surveys.
People are friendly at FBC of Manteca. Guests can expect a warm hello and a handshake. Those seeking a place to worship
and study will find that FBC of Manteca is a plentiful feeding ground for those who are hungry for the word. FBC continues
to increase its range and flexibility in all areas of teaching and educating it’s members as well as spreading the gospel
outside the walls of our sanctuary. FBC of Manteca quickly becomes a family to new members. Christian fellowship that is
Christ-focused on every level is immeasurable. This is truly a Christian medium where iron sharpens iron with truth, and
